Join us for our inaugural Magic at the Mountain Open Water Swim - a premier open water race coming to beautiful Oak Mountain State Park in Pelham, Alabama, on May 2, 2026! Swimmers of all levels can challenge themselves across four distance options: 0.5 mile, 1 mile, 2 mile, and 5K. Set against the stunning backdrop of Double Oak Lake, this event promises a safe, scenic, and exhilarating race experience surrounded by the natural beauty of Alabama’s largest state park.

The race staging is located on Terrace Drive at the South Trailhead parking lot in Oak Mountain State Park.

PARK ENTRANCE FEE

A park entrance fee of $5 is included in your registration. Your race week email will include a pass you can show at the gate.

Friday Packet Pick-Up: No park entrance fee for racers or passengers.
Saturday - Race Day: No park entrance fee for racers, however, any non-racing passengers will be required to pay the $5 park entrance fee.

FRIDAY

4:00 pm - 6:00 pm: Registration & packet pick-up

SATURDAY

6:30 am - 7:45 am: Packet Pick Up

7:00 am - 7:45 am: Swim Warmup (reserved area)

8:15 am - 11:15 am: Post Race Party and Awards
