Olympic swimmers will board the General Jackson Showboat, cruise up river, jump from the boat and swim with the current to the exit.

Sprint swimmers jump from the East Bank boat dock under the Shelby Pedestrian Bridge.

The jump location from the boat is similar in height to jumping from the boat dock, so no worries if you have a fear of heights.

The swim will be conducted in a time-trial fashion with a racer entering the water approximately every 3 to 5 seconds.

Both Sprint and Olympic swimmers will exit at the "concrete beach landing."

Magic Sports will ensure safe and passable footing for your exit from the river.

Register by the Wednesday night before the race to be seeded by your estimated swim time.

The majority of the Olympic bike course will be a two-loop 20k course totaling 40k on a completely closed (to traffic) Ellington Parkway. Sprint racers will do one loop.

The race transition area is organized based on your assigned race number.  Each bike rack ROW is also marked with a sign to help you find your row as you complete your swim-to-bike and bike-to-run transitions.

The bike course will start and finish at Lower Lot R / Race Transition. Bikers proceed to a right on Victory Ave, right on S. 2nd, left on Shelby Ave., left on Interstate Drive, right onto Woodland Street, left onto S. 5th Street, then continue straight to merge onto Ellington Parkway.

The return from Ellington Parkway follows the same route back to Lot R.

The course is out-and-back and is touted as a fast course. The path to and from Ellington Parkway is flat while the Ellington Parkway section has some steady inclines with matching fast slight downhills.
